Christmas is all about what you want and honestly most of us want to stay under that blanket and some chocolate, yes at least no diets on Christmas. Here are some quick, easy, no bake desserts that will be ready in no time so you can get back in the blanket and enjoy them. Here are 8 quick and easy Christmas Dessert Recipes for you to enjoy.
Chocolate covered bananas (too easy to resist)
- 12 large bananas
- 8 oz of chocolate chips
- 4 oz coconut oil
- 24 popsicle sticks
Peel and Cut bananas into half crossways and push Popsicle sticks gently halfway inside, freeze them on a tray for 3 – 4 hours. Meanwhile prepare the chocolate coating by mixing chocolate chips and coconut oil and heat the mixture in the microwave for 1 minute or until the chocolate is finely melted remember not to overheat it. Pour the mixture in to a narrow wine glass. Take out the bananas from the freezer and carefully dip each into the mixture until it is fully coated now let them dry on a tray. Sprinkle some crushed nuts if you want. Once they have dried put them in to a plastic bag and keep them in the freezer again once the coating has been frozen set them on a tray enjoy and serve.
blueberry pops (healthy frozen treat)
- 15 ounce of blue berries
- 6 ounce custard yogurt
- ½ skimmed cup milk
- We will also need some pop molds
Take 1/3 of the berries and make the puree of the remaining berries in a blender. Whisk the milk and yogurt in a small bowl. Now pour 2 tablespoon full of the yogurt and milk mixture in the pop molds and 1 table spoon of puree swirl it with the knife and let them freeze for about 3 hours. Once frozen feel free to enjoy.
Oreo truffles (yum yum my favorite)
- 1 package of double stuffed Oreos
- 4 oz of cream cheese
- Dipping chocolate
Finely chop the Oreos in to the food processor, now mash softened cream cheese and crushed Oreos using hands until they are well combined, make small ball with the combine mixture and let them freeze for 15 minutes mean while melt the dipping chocolate accordingly, now take the frozen balls out of the freezer and dip them in to the melted chocolate. Garnish them with some crushed Oreos, set them away for a while in the fridge and enjoy the heaven tasting truffles. Told you they were good.
Peanut butter and chocolate rods
- 1 square of dark chocolate
- I table spoon of peanut butter
- 10 mini pretzel rods
Heat dark chocolate in the microwave and 1 table spoon of peanut butter until melted, dip the pretzel rods in to the melted peanut butter first let them set and then dip them into the melted chocolate garnish some nuts and let them set for a while and enjoy the sweet salty treat.
Chocolate and raspberry wreaths
- 4 ounce white chocolate
- 2 pints raspberries
- Round sugar cookies
Chop and melt the white chocolate and dip the bottom of the raspberries in to the melted chocolate, arrange them around sugar cookies in a circle and drizzle over with more melted white chocolate set it in the fridge and enjoy.
Double Mint chocolate cookies
- 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
- Corn syrup
- Peppermint extracts
- Chocolate wafers
Add 1 cup concessioners’ sugar, 2 tablespoon butter, 2 tablespoon corn syrup, (both room temperature) 1 table spoon milk and ½ table spoon peppermint extract in a food processor and mix finely until smooth, pour the mixture on to the wafers an let them set for a while, for extra festive appearance sprinkle crushed candy cane on the top and enjoy.
Peanut butter and chocolate parfaits
- 1 ½ cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- Chocolate pudding
- 6 peanut butter sandwich
Whip 1 cup cream with 2 table spoon sugar until soft peaks form. Separately add the remaining ½ cup cream into the peanut butter and whisk until smooth now add the whipped cream and with a spatula fold until combined. Now create layers of chocolate pudding and the cream mixture into narrow serving glasses cover them and refrigerate until chilled or at least an hour garnish with crushed cookies and serve.
- 9 cups chex cereal
- 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup peanut butter
- ¼ cup margarine
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cup powdered sugar
Combine chocolate chips, peanut butter and margarine in a bowl and microwave for 1 – 1 1/2 minutes stir after a minute and create a smooth mixture, add vanilla extract, and pour the mixture into another bowl with cereal in it and coat evenly now pour this into large plastic bag, add powdered sugar and shake to coat even well now spread the cereal on to a waxed sheet to cool and enjoy with chocolate dipping.
